    From August 19 to November 23, an ‪exhibition‬ at The GLBT Historical Society in Castro (San Francisco) honors gay rights pioneer Dr. Magnus Hirschfeld (a Jewish German physician, died in Nice, France in 1935). "Although the Nazi regime did its best to erase the memory of Hirschfeld and his contributions, it didn’t succeed" (curator Gerard Koskovich)
