February 9th 2012 at the French Consular Residence, a reception was held, under the patronage of the Consul General of France in San Francisco, Romain Serman and his wife, Madame Laura Gross Serman, for the founders of French American International School. In attendance: the Founder herself, Jeannette Rouger, and former Head of School Bernard Ivaldi, who both flew in from Paris. Senator Mark Leno presented Head of School Jane Camblin in honor of French American International School’s 50 years of dedication to bilingual, bicultural education. Also in attendance: French American Board Chair Gerard Schenkkan, Former Board Chairs Adam Cioth and Dr. Allan Basbaum; Sénatrice Hélène Conway-Mouret, Sénateur Louis Duvernois, Conseillère Corinne Narassiguin, Conseiller Claude Girault, Conseiller Franck Barrat, Conseiller Jean-Claude Zambelli.
